Product, usually based on polysulfide, silicone, polyurethane or hot-melt butyl, ensuring the mechanical integrity of the insulation glass peripheral joint.
Insulation glass barrier
( 1st. sealant barrier )
A product, generally based on butyl, which ensures watertightness or gases in the space between the glazing of the insulation glass.

Property of the surface of the glass that allows the reduction of radiation exchanges and thus improve the coefficient U of the double glazing which integrates that are thus considered double glazing of low or low emissivity.
